NEGAUNEE, Mich. - Thomas Edward Riberdy, 83, of 177 Sunset Drive, passed Tuesday at St, Mary's Hospital in Green Bay, Wisconsin,

Born June 7,1929 in Ishpeming the son of Henry and Pearl Riberdy, he attended Ishpeming High School and then served two terms with United States Army as a medic. He worked as a Lab Tech for Marquette Hospital and later for Cleveland Cliffs Iron Company. A member of St. Paul's Church he was active in the Negaunee VFW Post 3165 where he served as youth advisory officer, he was also a past commander of the Ishpeming VFW Post 4573, he sang in the music group The Ramblers, was a cheerleader for Ishpeming High School, enjoyed all types of sports, and was a master craftsman.

He is survived by his companion and best friend Lavern Laramie and her family, 3 sons and their families.

A memorial service will be held Saturday 4 PM at the Negaunee VFW with a desert social to follow. The Racine Funeral Chapel of Ishpeming Is assisting the family.
