To the Journal editor:
Pete Hoekstra, Republican candidate for the US Senate deserves our support in the upcoming election.
As the proud mom of a U.S. Marine and a U.S. Air Force second lieutenant, I am deeply concerned about the direction our country is going. Our national debt is spiraling out of control, and my taxes are being raised every time I turn around. I'm tired of feeling disenfranchised by a government that endorses the welfare state and makes allies of countries that we are at war with.
We need to get America back on track and electing Pete Hoekstra, a known fiscal conservative who believes in personal responsibility (imagine that) is who Michigan needs now.
