To the Journal editor:
After reading the guest op-ed of Mr. Polanski with the headline, "T.A.R.P. program did little to aid Marquette homeowner" I wondered who wrote that headline. Is it someone in your editorial office? If so, I offer this observation.
Generally a headline reflects the main idea of an essay and it seemed to me that the op-ed was mainly written to point out how banks, corporations, politicians, and special interest groups take advantage of such programs, leaving the individual homeowner and average citizens out of the picture.
Your headline basically was a way for The Mining Journal to be critical of the T.A.R.P. program and to ignore the larger theme. Can't wait to see what the heading for this letter says.
