ISHPEMING - Officers from the Ishpeming City Police Department responded to two separate accidents along U.S. 41 this weekend.

On Friday at approximately 4:40 p.m., police responded to the intersection of U.S. 41 and Country Lane where a Negaunee woman had made a left turn onto U.S. 41, pulling into the path of two westbound vehicles traveling on the highway.
The drivers of the three vehicles were all transported to Bell Hospital by Bell EMS.
Assisting at that accident, which remains under investigation, were the Ishpeming City Fire Department and the Michigan State Police.
Saturday, a second accident occurred involving two vehicles.
Police said at around 12:40 p.m., a west-bound pickup truck traveling on U.S. 41 failed to stop at the red light at the intersection with Lakeshore Drive and was struck by a southbound vehicle traveling on Lakeshore.
The pickup truck driver was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
No one was injured in Saturday's accident. Assisting at the scene was the Negaunee Police Department, the Ishpeming Volunteer Fire Department and Bell EMS.
Names of those involved in the accidents have not been released.
