GWINN, MI. - Mary Ann Tipolt, 79, of Gwinn, died Sunday evening, July 29, 2012, at the Tendercare Nursing Center in Munising.
She was born December 1, 1932, in Pontiac, Michigan, a daughter of the late Ted and Alice (Hartmen) Lewis and was a graduate of Rose Valley High School.
Mary Ann was formerly employed at Gwinn Embroidery and at King's Auto.
In her youth, Mary Ann was an avid bowler. She also enjoyed crocheting, berry picking, cooking and coffee at for former Peterson's Restaurant in Gwinn.
She is survived by three children, Barbara Tipolt of Waterford, MI, Michael (Tonia) Tipolt of Gwinn and Tony Tipolt of San Diego, CA; a sister, Nancy; and a brother, Jerry Lewis ; 8 grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Bruce.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 3, 2012 at 4 p.m. in the Canale-Gwinn Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Westman officiating. Interment will take place in the Gwinn Cemetery.
