GWINN, MI. - Ronald G. Pfaffle, age 42, of Gwinn, entered eternal life on Saturday, July 28, 2012, at Marquette General Hospital.
Born July 28, 1970 in Marquette, Ron was raised in Marquette and was a 1988 graduate of the Marquette Senior High School. On December 28, 2001 he married the former Kristianna Harris and together the couple established their home and raised two children. Both Ron and Kris shared employment responsibilities as team drivers in commercial trucking. Ron was very family oriented and his wife and children were his world. He enjoyed genealogy, computers, loved to swim, and was a Trekkie who relished the Star Trek experience. A talented writer and artist, Ron had a special interest in Medieval Renaissance art and history. With his trademark smile, he was friendly and outgoing, always willing to lend a helping hand where needed, generous with time and talent. Ron was a very actively involved member of the Lake Superior Christian Church and recently answered the Lord's call to enter ministry, hoping to graduate from Grand Canyon University.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Kris; daughter, Sage Pfaffle; son, Asher Pfaffle; his parents, Michael and Bette Pfaffle of Marquette; grandmother, Bernice Pfaffle; brothers, Cory (Cindy Croschere) Pfaffle and Kevin Pfaffle both of Marquette; and John Wood of Tempe, AZ; nieces and nephews, Asheli and Cole Pfaffle, and Tonya and Becky Croschere; and sister-in-law, Adrienne Harris of Grand Haven. Ron was preceded in death by his grandfather, Warren "Punky" Pfaffle.
