Kristy Walker Treacy, left, is presented with a $2,000 Philanthropic Educational Organization's Program for Continuing Education grant by Nancy Lutey, chairwoman of the program. Sponsored by Marquette PEO. Chapter BY, the PCE is a grant program that provides financial assistance to women whose education has been interrupted and who find it necessary to return to school to support themselves and/or their families. Walker Treacy attends Northern Michigan University and expects to receive a bachelor's degree in nursing in December. She and her husband Michael, who also attends NMU, live in Marquette with their three children.
