Cobras, Lightning light up scoreboard

U8 co-ed

The Purple Cobras and Blue Lightning put on an offensive clinic as the Cobras prevailed 12-10 in a co-ed U8 game played in the Superiorland Soccer Association for the week ending July 13.

Scoring for the Cobras were Hayden Jackson, Justin Jurmu, Holden Hutter, Ayden Beaudry and Matthew Marra, while the Lightning got goals from Jake Garrow, Keaton Ansell and Easton Miller.

The Blue Sharks also cracked double digits in an 11-4 win over the Pink Thunder. Dakota Fredys, Nocholas Asmus and Lars Gentz scored for the Sharks, as did Ben Frusti and Easton Markham for the Thunder.

Two more games were real nailbiters, with Team Shamrock edging Stingers, 6-5, as Bradon Josefsen and Andrew Tyler-Smith scored for Shamrock and Matthias McDermott, Parker Gauthier and Andrew Mathie hit the back of the net for the Stingers.

The Green Gators edged the Red Bulls, 6-4, with GG's Gavin Dawson, Fletcher Rose and Jack Brogan scoring along with RB's Rylan Kohler and Nathan Goodwin.

In other division action, the Purple Cobras downed Pink Thunder, 7-3. Jackson, Hutter and Jurmu scored for the winners; Breydon Gagnon, Frusti and Dawson Erva tallied fror the Pink Thunder.

In addition, Blue Lightning shaded the Red Bulls, 8-6, behind goals by John Weber and Garrow.

For the Red Bulls, Elliot Mason, Nathan Goodwin, Mason Kinonen, Peyton L'Huillier and Quinn Kerekas notched markers.

U10 co-ed

The Yellow Bandits dumped the Brown Hawks, 11-3, behind markers by Sam Wedin, Aidan Pascoe, Landon Hubert, Liam Jeevar, Logan Audette and Lewis Goff.

Goals scored by Brown Hawks were by Eli Wiitala and Mackenzie Vezina.

Blue Thunder thumped the Orange flame Crushers, 13-2. Scoring for the winners were Jacob Heidtman, Ian Adams, Joseph Luke, Evan Appell, Skyler DeShone and Gaetano Cammarata.

Logan Alexander found the back of the net for the Orange Flame Crushers.

Seth Compton, Brett Wittler, Tanner Cain and Justin Compton scored for the Blue Jays in a 4-3 win over the Eagles.

Gabe Richardson and Joe Lagrou notched tallies for the Eagles.

Girls U6

Division goal scorers were as follows:

Blue Sharks: Hattie Britton, Adam DuVall and Dallas Cobe.

Pink Panthers: Aidan Andrews and Brooke McFarren.

Sand Storm: Allyn Ramirez, Timotheos Mihalopoulo and Emma Peterson.

Green Lightning: Levi Stauber, Ian Sheltrow and Sawyer Johnson.

Team 19: Newman James, Henry Wood, Ian Engstrom and Matthew Tyler-Smith.

In addition, goal scorers in the division for the week of July 17 follow. Each girl scored one goal unless otherwise noted:

Caramel Delights: Kyley Elmblad 4, Amelia Bouws 6, Morgan Buck and Leah Gobert.

Blue Buffaloes: Petra Frazier, Taryn Koepp 2, Alyson McCarthy, Tyleur Wright and Anabel Ollila 2.

Blazing Blue Buffaloes: Ashley Beck 5, Olivia Heidtman 3, Izabella Bell 2, Althea Bruggink 4 and Bella Forslund.
