To the Journal editor:
Hats off to Mr. O'Dovero. Thank you so much for providing the funding for the bike decorating rodeo on July 4. The bike rodeo is a big part of our grandchildren's Fourth of July celebration.
The kids have so much fun decorating their bikes. Thank you for keeping the tradition going. It means more to the kids than you know.
Also, a big thank you to Angela Davis for her hard work in planning the event.
On another note: why, why, why were Marquette's fireworks lit off in such horrible conditions? What were you thinking? It sure wasn't the safety of our children.
You wasted a lot of money and disappointed many children and adults.
