NEGAUNEE, Mich. - Pauline Macia King, 70, of 109 South Basin Drive, Negaunee Township, died at 9:23 AM on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at Marquette General Hospital where she had been a patient for one day.
Pauline was born November 1, 1941 in Iron Mountain to Fred and Mae (Witz) Hulce, was raised in Vulcan and attended Vulcan High School. She was a graduate of the Negaunee Community Schools Adult Education Program in 1983. Pauline and her husband John and their family lived in various Michigan cities while John served in the Michigan State Police and settled in Waucedah Township in 1992 when he retired. They moved to the Negaunee area in November of 2011. Her hobbies included sewing, hunting, camping, and faithfully following her children's and grandchildren's sporting events.
Surviving are her husband John P. King, 2 sons: John (Paula) King of Rudyard, Tim (Joan) King of Negaunee, one daughter, Lorraine (Mike) Finnila of Negaunee, 9 grandchildren: Corie, Terin, Jeremy, Tim, and Erin King, Michael, John, Jesse, and Courtney Finnila, 2 great grandchildren, Jarett and Ellis King, 3 brothers: Frank Hulce of Colorado, Lyle (Gloria) Hulce of Vulcan, Wayne (Mary) Hulce of Norway, 3 sisters: June Hirte of Kingsford, Wanda Hulce of Arizona, Lois Giuliani of Kingsford, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, David and Ronald Hulce, and a sister, Alice Simonetti.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, July 12 at the Koskey Funeral Home, Negaunee. Rev. Douglas Mater, pastor of Mitchell United Methodist Church will officiate and burial will be in the Negaunee Cemetery. Mrs. King's grandsons and great grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will greet relatives and friends from 1:00 PM until the time of services at 4:00 PM at the Koskey Funeral Home on Thursday.
