ISHPEMING, Mich. - Frances I. Miller, age 93 of 200 Saginaw St., Ishpeming, passed away on Sunday, July 8, 2012 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility, where she had resided for the past 6 years.
Frances was born January 7, 1919 in Benwood, MN, the daughter of the late Robert and Alice (Kaulback) Fitzgerald. She grew up in Northern Minnesota where she married Archie Miller. Frances worked first on a farm and later as an owner and operator of a local restaurant with her husband in Northern Minnesota where they raised their family. She had also managed an apartment complex while in Minnesota. Frances and her husband then headed for California where she also worked as an apartment manager. While in California Frances was active with Hospice and volunteered with the local police in Hemet, CA. Frances was always kind and caring, may times she could be found feeding the homeless.
Survivors include 4 children Patricia (John) Ochoa of Oxnard, CA, Sharon (Clifford) Paulson of Amery, WI, Ilene (Ray) Butler of Ishpeming, and Kay (Richard) Miller of Chandler, TX, a daughter-in-law Irene Miller of Hemet, Ca and a son-in-law Charlie Korus of Plankinton, SD, 21 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Archie, a son John Miller, a daughter Ann Korus, along with 9 brothers and sisters.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00pm on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the Christ the King Lutheran Church in Ishpeming Township where a memorial service will be held at 1:00pm with the Rev. Chad Ott to officiate.
