ISHPEMING - Ishpeming's Main Street filled with those eager to celebrate summer and get some good deals during the annual Festival of Treasures Tuesday.
Organized by the Ishpeming Business Association, the festival is a regular part of the city's Independence Day celebrations and is all about drawing people into the downtown.
"It's been terrific," said Cheryl Kellow, one of the organizers of the festival. "It's been a wonderful turnout, even as hot as it is."
With a lot of sunshine and warm temperatures, Main Street was blocked off and filled with tents, booths and vendors, allowing visitors to wander the length of the street, shopping and enjoying the various food vendors.
Kellow said the event had more than 50 different vendors this year selling everything from Croatian Chicken to crafts to jewelry to footwear.
Kids also got to have a good time thanks to a collection of bounce houses and games.
The Ishpeming Fourth of July celebration continues today with the parade, community picnic and other fun events.
