CHASSELL - The Chassell Heritage Center will open for the season on Tuesday and continue through Aug. 30. Summer hours will be 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and 4 to 9 p.m. Thursdays. The 7 p.m. Thursday programs will provide a variety of entertainment , music and local history programs.
Strawberry Festival open house hours at the Heritage Center are noon to 6 p.m. Friday and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. The center will be closed July 5.
The Friends of Fashion will present their Vintage Clothing Show: "Henry & Clara, the Fords in the Upper Peninsula" during Strawberry Festival at 2 p.m. Saturday. The show will reflect on the Ford Family history along with photos and tales of their lumber camps that provided wood for their cars, and the impact on local communities. Vintage fashions will be shown.
