PALM BAY, FL. - 1924 - 2012, Louis J. Cardew of Palm Bay, Florida passed away Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the age of 88. Louis was born in Ishpeming, MI.
He was a veteran serving in the US Army 82nd Airborne in WWII. He was a firefighter for the City of Detroit prior to retiring and moving to Florida. Louis was married to June Antilla for 48 years before her death in 1993.
Louis will always be remembered for his love and commitment to family and his caring and compassionate nature. He had a love for life, and found adventure in everyday life.

Louis is survived by his children, Lawrence J. Cardew, Peggy C. Marks, Louise A. Van Bibber, and William A. Cardew, seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, his beloved partner Priscilla (Pat) Glidden, and three sisters, Eliza Goudge, Olive Soloman, and Betty Denney.
A memorial was held in Palm Bay on June 24, 2012.
