MARQUETTE - Troopers from the Michigan State Police Post in Negaunee were dispatched to a personal injury crash on U.S. Highway 41 Friday afternoon that sent one woman to the hospital.
According to a press release, the crash occurred at 2:09 p.m. just west of the Michigan State Police Negaunee post. The female driver of one vehicle was transported to Marquette General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Police said witnesses had reported that a second vehicle - a white Audi with tinted windows, a sun roof and a Michigan registration plate - was involved in the crash. Police said the same vehicle was reported to be driving recklessly in the L'Anse area earlier in the day.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Negaunee Township Fire Department and Bell EMS.
Anyone with information leading to the identification of the driver of the white Audi is asked to contact the MSP Negaunee post at 475-9922.
