MARQUETTE - An Evening of Brahms featuring piano, viola, and vocal artists will be performed Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church, Kingsford, Saturday at the Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts, Houghton and Monday at Reynolds Recital Hall in Marquette. The concerts will all begin at 7:30 p.m.
The concert features the romantic and lush music of Johannes Brahms including solo piano music with Tian Ying at the keyboard and two lullabies with Pamela McConnell of the Bergonzi String Quartet on viola and mezzo soprano Natalie Easter. Ying also presents the romantic and thrilling Liebeslieder (Love Song) Waltzes for two pianists and four singers. Joining Ying are pianist Steven McGee, soprano Alison Scherzer, mezzo-soprano Natalie Easter, tenor Kyle Tomlin, and baritone Jonathan Christopher.
