MARQUETTE-Brandi Flinn of Gwinn received the 2011-12 Aviation Maintenance Student of the Year Award from Northern Michigan University. She graduated from the program in May with an associate degree.
Flinn was selected for the award by aviation maintenance technology faculty members based on her grades, attendance, leadership qualities and involvement in the program. She served as president of the Aviation Maintenance Club and also won first place for her float in the NMU Homecoming parade.
