NEGAUNEE, Mich. - Marjorie E. Lind, 90, formerly of Marigold Street in Ishpeming and Rail Street in Negaunee, died at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2012, at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility where she had resided since April of 2004.
Marjorie was born December 19, 1921, in Negaunee to Henning and Lillian (Remillard) Gustafson and was a graduate of Negaunee High School. She lived in Minneapolis, MN for many years where she was employed by the Kronstrom Heating and Air Conditioning Company as the office manager. She returned to this area in 1988.
Mrs. Lind was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Negaunee. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, cooking, and spending time at the family camp at Saux Head Lake where she loved to fish. She was a devoted wife in caring for her husband "Mike."
Surviving are one son, Douglas (Alice) McCall of Superior, Wis.; 1 grandson, David McCall; 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Antonio "Tony" Guizzetti; her husband, Raymond E. "Mike" Lind in 1999; and a stepbrother, Armondo Guizzetti in 2001.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Koskey Funeral Home with the Rev. D. Michael Carriere officiating. Interment will be in the Negaunee Cemetery.
