MARQUETTE - Amanda Leonard of Marquette and Kirk Harger of Munising were overall winners from nearly 300 participants at the inaugural Marquette Mountain Mud race held Saturday.

This mud run on a course at the top and bottom of the ski hill consisted of 14 different obstacles, such as a mud pit, mud crawl, water slide, hay bales and snow, set up in 25 spots on the five-kilometer course.

It is a fund-raiser for the Marquette Mountain Ski Patrol.
