ISHPEMING - Ricky Kurian pitched a complete-game two-hitter to lead the Ishpeming Blue Storm to a 10-0 victory over the Marquette Reds in American Legion baseball played Thursday evening.
Kurian allowed just two hits while striking out five in the game called in the bottom of the fifth inning due to the 10-run mercy rule.
Allen Hutchens, Drew VanDrese and McKinley Larson worked on the mound for the Reds, with Hutchens fanning three in his two innings of work.
Zach Niemi had two of the six hits by Ishpeming (7-10), while teammates Gunnar Meyer and Josh Richards each knocked in two runs.
