Suspects arraigned in stabbing incident

MARQUETTE - Two Ishpeming residents were arraigned in Marquette County District Court Wednesday on charges stemming from a stabbing in Marquette early Monday morning.

Taylor Shantel-Julann Mitchell, 19, and Danny Lee Weymouth, 19, were both charged with one count of conspiracy - controlled substance - creation or delivery of an analogue, a 15-year felony.

Mitchell is also charged with one count of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, a 10-year felony, and one count of assault with a dangerous weapon, a four-year felony.

Mitchell is being held in Marquette County Jail on $150,000 bond, cash or surety. Weymouth is being held on a $25,000 bond.

They are both scheduled to appear in court July 2 at 2:45 p.m. for a preliminary examination.

Marquette resident Zachary Skinner, 19, received multiple stab wounds during the attack. According to Marquette City police, he was treated and released from Marquette General Hospital Monday.
