Sands duo of Maki, Olsen Jr. post top lap times on Saturday at Sands Speedway

SANDS - Todd Maki of Sands posted the fastest lap time of 18.792 seconds in the purestock division on Saturday at Sands Speedway.

Roxx Olsen Jr., also of Sands, had the fastest time in the four-cylinder modifieds races (17.379); Aaron Sprowl of Skandia posted the top time in street stocks (16.435) and Putch Bentley of Iron River was the quickest in the late models (15.315).

Below are results from the other races held on Saturday in Sands.

Four-cylinder modifieds: Heat: 1. Robert Coleman, Menominee; 2. John "Doc" Holliday, Ishpeming; 3. Jeremy Yelle, Gwinn. Feature: 1. Place Robert Coleman, Menominee; 2. Jeremy Yelle, Gwinn; 3. Place Ross Olsen Jr., Sands.

Street Stock: Heat I: 1. Terry Royer, Perkins; 2. Chris Lucas, Beaver Grove; 3. Ryan Longtine, Marquette. Heat II: 1. Steve Pepin, Escanaba; 2. Aaron Sprowl, Skandia; 3. Stan Wittler. Feature: 1. Steve Pepin, Escanaba; 2. Terry Royer, Perkins; 3. Aaron Sprowl, Skandia.
