MARQUETTE - The Readers Theater group at Peter White Public Library will read Oscar Wilde's "Lady Windemere's Fan" at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Shiras Room. This play was Wilde's first produced play, and it was an instant success on the London stage. Chronicling a series of misunderstandings and deceptions in the high society world of Victorian London, critics and audiences alike were charmed by Wilde's trademark wit and intelligence.
Reader's Theater meets on the third Thursday of each month to read plays for enjoyment. New members are welcome.
