MARQUETTE, Mich. - Beatrice "Bea" Weston, age 79, of 222 South Fifth Street, Apt. 308, entered eternal life on Sunday, June 17, at her home in the loving care of her family and caregivers of Lake Superior Hospice.
Bea was born May 1, 1933, to Waino and Alma Savola and was raised in Trenary. Bea married Myron "Ike" Weston and together they raised four daughters.
Bea worked for several years as a nurse's aide at Norlite Nursing Home and later cared for her mother, while her mother was ill. Bea was most happy being a homemaker and caring for her daughters who were the world to her. Friends and family cherished her wonderful cooking and baking. Her children and grandchildren will always treasure the sweaters and holiday dolls she lovingly knit and crocheted for them. Bea also enjoyed fishing with her mother and spending time at camp with her husband and family. She loved playing bingo, going to the casino and spending time with her friends at Snowberry working the jigsaw puzzles. Bea was very proud of her Finnish heritage and truly lived her life with "SISU". Bea is survived by her husband "Ike" of 58 years; four daughters, Christine Arrowood, Connie (David) St. Amour, Annette (Peter) DePetro and Pamela (Jamie Yates) Gutierrez; 8 grandchildren, Jessica Arrowood, Alana (David) Carrott, Lora (Brandon) Holm, Dana (Gordon) Jakel, Jessica (Brad) Winchester, Mallory DePetro, Emily DePetro and Amber Scott; six great-grandchildren; her beloved niece, Sandy (Jim) Michelin, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
