Suspect at large after stabbing

MARQUETTE - A 19-year-old Marquette man was taken to Marquette General Hospital early this morning after being stabbed multiple times.

According to Marquette City Police Department service log, the stabbing took place at approximately 1:25 a.m. at 520 Wright St.

A suspect was identified and a police dog was taken to the scene, though it was unable to locate the suspect. The suspect is currently being sought by authorities.

Police said officers were first dispatched to the scene after receiving a report of a female screaming. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a stabbing had taken place.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
