MARQUETTE - The United States Olympic Education Center will celebrate Olympic Day on Tuesday, June 26 at 3 p.m. just outside the men's and women's weightlifting room inside the Superior Dome.
The USOEC will be providing demonstrations and speaking with kids from the Northern Michigan University day camp.
Olympic Day was created in 1948 to commemorate the birth of the modern Olympic Games. It focuses on the Olympic values and ideals such as fair play, perseverance, respect and sportsmanship. Olympic Day is celebrated around the world.
