SANDS - Auto racers took to the Sands Speedway track on June 9.
Results of the competition follows:
- Dash for Cash winners: Dan Artibee for Purestock; Dave Frazier for 4 Cylinder Modifieds; Jeff Dehanke for Street Stock; and Putch Bentley for Late Models.
- Heat winners: Purestock, Doug Maki; 4 Cylinder Modifieds, Ross Olsen, Jr.; Street Stock, Ryan Longtine; Street Stock Heat II, Steve Pepin; Late Model Heat I, Brian Stanchina; Late Model Heat II, Putch Bentley.
- Features: Purestock, Dan Artibee; 4 Cylinder Modifieds, Ross Olsen, Jr.; Street Stock, Jeff Dehanke; Late Model, Brian Stanchina.
- Fastest times: Purestock, Doug Maki of Perkins, 18.926 seconds; 4 Cylinder Modifieds, Ross Olsen, Jr., of Sands, 17.89; Street Stock, Darryl Britton of Harvey, 16:46; Late Models, Allan Yelle of Sands, 15.289.
Racing will be held every Saturday during the season at Sands Speedway, weather permitting. Time trials will be at 3 p.m., with racing at 5 p.m.
The pits will open at 1 p.m.
