Hancock's Peterson qualifies for Michigan Amateur at Greywalls

MARQUETTE - Dylan Peterson of Hancock carded a 76 on Saturday at Marquette Golf Club's Greywalls to grab the one available spot in the 2012 Michigan Amateur golf tournament, to be held June 18-22 at the Oakland Hills North Course.

Manistique High School senior Mike Nagy, who won his third MHSAA U.P. golf championship the day before at Wawonowin Country Club in Champion, finished as the first alternate with a 77.

Matt Kruzich of Kalamazoo is the second alternate after shooting an 84.
