ISHPEMING - The Ishpeming school board approved a series of scholarships at a special meeting Tuesday.
The board met specifically to approve recipients for a variety of scholarships offered by the district, such as the C.L. and Mary E. Phelps Scholarship and the Edward and Lillian Nolan Scholarship.
The scholarships approved by the board were awarded to graduating seniors or were renewals of scholarships to previous years' graduates.
