GWINN - A two-acre fire near Airfield Road in Forsyth Township, reported to Marquette County Central Dispatch at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday, was brought under control by Michigan Department of Natural Resources personnel, assisted by local fire departments.

According to Ed Golder, DNR public information officer from Lansing, the agency responded with two tractor plows and a pair of engines. He was unsure what started the fire, which was adjacent to a residential area. Evacuation was not contemplated, however, he said.
