MARQUETTE - Two Ishpeming residents have been arraigned on drug charges after police allegedly found a small amount of suspected methamphetamine and several components of a meth lab in their apartment Tuesday evening.
Robert Thurman Fields, 29, and his wife, Nickolena Margaret Fields, 30, were arraigned Wednesday in Marquette County District Court and are lodged in the Marquette County Jail.

Robert Fields is charged with one count of operating/maintaining a laboratory involving methamphetamine and one count of deliver/manufacture of methamphetamine. Both counts are 20-year felonies.
Nickolena Fields is charged with one count of operating/maintaining a laboratory involving methamphetamine.
Bond was set at $25,000 on each count for Robert Fields and 10 percent of $25,000 for Nickolena Fields.
The Ishpeming City Police Department, with assistance from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team and the Michigan State Police, served a search warrant on the couple's rented home on Superior Street in Ishpeming, where police said they found the drug paraphernalia that led to the couple's arrest.
