ISHPEMING, Mich. - Pearle E. Gray, age 89, longtime resident of 111 Bluff St., Ishpeming, passed away on Monday May 21, 2012 at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming while under the loving care of her family the staff at MCMCF and the Upper Peninsula Home Health and Hospice.
Pearl was born June 2, 1922 in Crivitz, Wis., the daughter of the late Edward and Amelia (Kautz) Richlen. Pearle grew up in the Crivitz area and was a graduate of the Crivitz High School. She moved to Marinette, Wis., for a few years prior to her marriage to F. Loren Gray. They in turn resided in Marquette and Munising before calling Ishpeming there home since 1964. Pearle was a member of the 4-H Club and enjoyed horseback riding along with boarding horses at the family farm south of Ishpeming. Pearle enjoyed playing cards weekly with her card club. She was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
Survivors include 2 sons Jim (Judy) Gray of Ishpeming, and Jeff Gray of Lansing, a brother Harold (Virg) Richlen of Crivitz, WI, 9 grandchildren Stacey, Tonya, Rebecca, Sarah, Stephanie, Jimmy, Aaron, Brian and Amy, along with numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband F. Loren Gray in 2008, 2 infant children, 3 sisters and 4 brothers.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Ishpeming. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Greg Heikkala to officiate.
