Wildcats 10th in GLIAC golf

ELYRIA, Ohio - The Northern Michigan University golf team wrapped up its spring season finishing in 10th place at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Preview Meet.

The Wildcats accumulated a two-day total of 321 strokes at Elyria, Ohio, Country Club.

Sophomore Jared Reid led Northern with a two-day, 18-hole total of 78, shooting 40 on Friday and 38 Saturday, tying for 27th. Freshman Colten Thewis was a shot back with 39-40-79 in a tie for 31st. Reid and Thewis each had three birdies on the weekend.

Sophomore Mike Murphy had the team's low nine-hole score of 37 Friday, finishing with 81 for 42nd place.

Ohio Dominican won the tournament with 301 as Panther Tyler Sebert was the medalist with 71.
