MARQUETTE - The Marquette Sentinels PeeWee AA hockey team placed second in the state tournament.
City Insurance (47-9-2) won four games before losing to the Oakland Junior Grizzly's, 6-4, in the title game.
Spencer DenBeste scored three goals and Nick Bink one for the Marquette skaters. Bink, Joey Phillips and Justin Moyle picked up assists.

Sentinels netminder Jack Eyler stopped 20 shots, with one goal being scored in an empty net.
In a semifinal contest, Marquette blanked Traverse City Dave Harvey's, 4-0, behind 25 saves by Eyler.
Bink scored twice, with Shane Ring and Phillips adding single markers. Recording helpers were Ring, Nate Bordson and Daunte Fortner.
The Sentinels also edged the USA Eagles, 5-4, with Phillips notching two goals. DenBeste, Bink and Justin Hendrickson also lit the lamp.
Collecting assists were Alec Beauchamp, Eric Hurst, Bink, Ring, DenBeste, Phillips, Ben Garrow and Moyle.
Eyler made 38 stops in net.
In their second game of the tournament, the Sentinels whipped the Mount Clemens Wolves, 7-1. DenBeste posted three goals, while Phillips and Bink contributed two apiece.
Drawing helpers were Garrow, Hendrickson, Bordson, Ring, DenBeste and Bink.
Eyler turned aside 12 shots.
The Marquette squad opened its tourney play with a 5-2 victory over the Grand Rapids Griffins, behind two goals from Fortner.
Aydin Frost, Phillips and Bink also found the back of the net for the Sentinels.
Picking up assists were Fortner, Bink, Phillips, Moyle and DenBeste.
Eyler came up with 18 saves.
