MARQUETTE - Jacqueline Jason, 17, of Marquette has completed the requirements to earn a gold Moves in the Field medal from U.S. Figure Skating, the governing body of figure skating in the United States.

In December, Jason earned her Gold Dance Medal, according to Marquette Figure Skating Club coach Chris Gauthier. That made Jason a double USFS Gold Medalist.

To earn this distinction, she successfully completed her Senior Moves in the Field test before a qualified panel of USFS judges in Marquette on Feb. 17.

The senior moves test is one of eight levels and 46 individual moves patterns that Jason had to perfect, a process that has taken her seven years to complete.

She has also completed her juvenile freeskating test.

Jason is a four-year member of the Marquette Senior High School figure skating team, the MFSC and the USFS.

The daughter of Colleen and Jon Jason, she'll receive her two gold medals at the MFSC annual spring awards banquet.
