MARQUETTE - Marquette County Proboate Judge Michael Anderegg - Marquette County's longest serving probate judge - announced today he will not seek another term in office.

Anderegg's current six-year term expires Dec. 31. He has held the position since Jan. 1, 1977 and has been re-elected five times, running without opposition.

Anderegg said he expects to remain involved with juvenile court issues during his retirement, along with devoting time to his family and recreational activities.

"My work has been an engaging and important part of my life," he said in a prepared statement. "I don't expect I'll just walk away from it completely."
