Snowflake benefit date set

MARQUETTE - A benefit show featuring Gale LaJoye performing "Snowflake" and local bands Drive, The Wachters, and the Wednesday Night Music Club will be held Wednesday, Dec. 28 in Kaufman Auditorium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the show at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $15, general admission, and are available online at www.kaufmanauditorium.org, at MacDonald's Music Store, 601 N. Third St., Marquette, and at the door. Proceeds will benefit Lutheran Social Services, Child and Family Services, and Room at the Inn.

The show will also feature David Aho as master of ceremonies, and local actor John Sarkela.

The programs benefiting from this show provide emergency support and shelter for the homeless, help people move out of homelessness into permanent housing, and aid people who are struggling to stay in their homes. For more information, call 225-4213.
