Want to learn to speak Japanese?

MARQUETTE - The city of Marquette Arts and Culture Center will offer a Japanese conversation class from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturdays, Jan. 7 through March 17. An intermediate/advanced class will be offered from 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays, Jan. 10 through March 13.

Classes will meet in the Dandelion Cottage Room on the main floor of the Peter White Public Library. Cost is $40 for the conversation class session and $20 for intermediate/advanced class.

Led by instructor Ken Satoh, students will practice and enjoy the Japanese language through a non-traditional method of learning. Japanese food and cooking will be covered, as well. Students should be prepared with paper and pencil, and are encouraged to purchase a Japanese-English dictionary.
