Foundation honors 10 local youth volunteers

The Marquette County Community Foundation recently presented 10 youth volunteers with the President's Volunteer Service Award, a national honor offered in recognition of volunteer service. Pictured from left are Jim Caszatt, district representative for state Sen. Tom Casperson; Volunteer Service Award recipients Hayley Maskus, Kris Edmark, Kelly Sprouce, Kathryn Buhrmann, Nikki Touchinski, Ricky Touchinski, Traci Schewmin, Corey Miles, Ali Diedrich and Kristyn Miles; and state Rep. Steve Lindberg. Established in 2003, the award is available on an annual basis to individuals, groups and families who have met or exceeded requirements for volunteer service and have demonstrated exemplary citizenship through volunteering. As one of thousands of certifying organizations participating in the award program, the Marquette County Community Foundation presents the award to recognize the outstanding achievements of its volunteers.
