MARQUETTE - The investigation into a Marquette shooting last week that left a man dead and a woman injured is still ongoing.

Law enforcement officials continued working over the weekend, investigating the death of John Adam Bradbury, 49, of Marquette. Bradbury died due to a shotgun wound to the chest on Wednesday. Also injured in the incident was Rayan Zimmerman, 23, of Marquette, who sustained a shotgun wound to the leg.

According to Detective Capt. Gordon Warchock of the Marquette City Police Department, officials are working on a report to the county prosecutor's office so that charges can be authorized in the case.

Arrested during the incident was a 22-year-old Marquette man who was found hiding in a vehicle across the street from the apartment building at 1005 W. Ridge St. He is being held in the Marquette County Jail on a parole detainer out of Oakland County.

During the investigation, police said they discovered an alleged methamphetamine lab in the apartment where the shooting took place.
