MARQUETTE - A ribbon-cutting ceremony this morning marked the official opening of the Marquette Regional History Center.
Board President Sue Hornbogen and center Director Kaye Hiebel cut the ribbon, and both said the moment was a long time coming.
Plans for the new center began in 2000 and the building, a former bus depot on Spring Street, was purchased in 2006.
