With each of the city's department heads cutting 4 percent of their budget, Negaunee has eliminated the remaining $142,000 shortfall needed to balance the city's budget .
The Negaunee City Council began with more than $600,000 needing to be eliminated from the budget to get expenditures in line with revenues.
