New at the library

December 18, 2010
The Mining Journal

Are you in need of a little help to get in the mood for Christmas?

Come on into the Peter White Public Library and take a stroll through Winter Wonderland display of Christmas trees right on over to the holiday CDs. Christmas to Elvis from The Jordanaires will help put you in the mood to start wrapping those gifts hiding in the attic, or maybe The Best of Ultimate Soul Christmas with En Vogue, Al Green and Babyface are more your style.

Sinatra Crosby Christmas, with Bing Crosby singing the classic "Let it Snow!" will inspire you to go caroling with your friends, or maybe Frank Sinatra crooning "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" will get you motivated. Too many holiday CDs to choose from? Try Rachael Ray's holiday favorites, How Cool is That Christmas with its mix of Doris Day, Elvis and Billy Holiday; you are bound to find something to please everyone in your family.

Do you need a distraction for your children while you sneak those presents in the house? Try Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas. You can find it in the children's DVD section at the library. Maybe you would like to cozy up with the whole family with hot cocoa and watch The Polar Express, a truly magical movie that will fill your child's heart with Christmas wonder. A Charlie Brown Christmas, with the bonus feature It's Christmastime Again, Charlie Brown is a classic you may want to share with your children. Charlie Brown also helps us remember the true meaning of Christmas. Whatever your holiday entertainment needs, you are sure to find what you need at the Peter White Public Library.
