MARQUETTE - The U.P. Children's Museum will host a training session for its Explainers Program from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3. Pizza will be served. A parent or caregiver must be present from 5:30 to 6 p.m.
The Explainers are volunteers ages 8 to 18 who learn about service and leadership through assisting in the museum. Explainers help guests better understand the exhibits; give input on improving exhibits; help plan and host special events; show and care for the museum's animals; assist in the museum store and more. The Explainers work closely with museum staff members who serve as mentors.
