LANSING (AP) - The Michigan Republican Party has launched a TV ad accusing U.S. Rep. Gary Peters of not listening to voters in Oakland County's 9th District.
The 30-second ad called ''Listening'' was launched Monday. It's running on broadcast and cable channels.
The ad says the Democratic lawmaker elected in 2008 has limited voters' choices, has given the government control of health care, and has ''wasted billions on a failed stimulus plan.''
Peters' campaign manager Dan Farough says the ''last minute TV blitz ... is an attempt to bail out'' Republican candidate Rocky Raczkowski (roch-KOF'-skee).
Farough says Raczkowski ''has yet to come clean with voters and explain why his business partners think he swindled them out of $6 million.''
The ad doesn't mention Raczkowski.
