Citizens welcomes students back

marquette-Citizens Bank helped to brighten the start of a new school year for one student during Northern Michigan University's (NMU) Fall Fest. Sheenah Spagnolo, a student at the college received a $50 NMU Bookstore gift certificate donated by Citizens Bank.

"College is often the first opportunity young adults have to manage their own money," said Christian Palomaki, Branch Manager of Citizens Bank in Marquette. "We provide them with tips on how to manage and protect their funds."

The event, which is sponsored by the Lake Superior Community Partnership and the NMU Student Activities Leadership Program, consisted of booths of local businesses and organizations wanting to get their word out to NMU students. Representatives from Citizens Bank in Marquette participated in the festival as a way to educate students of its many convenient locations.
