Tasty Reads to meet at library

MARQUETTE - The Peter White Public Library Tasty Reads Book Club will meet at 1 p.m. Monday in the Dandelion Cottage Room for a discussion of "Two for the Road: Our Love Affair with American Food" by Jane and Michael Stern. Participants are invited to bring a sack lunch and sample a recipe from the book.

The premiere authorities on American road food, the Sterns have been driving, eating and chronicling barbecue pits, hamburger joints, clam shacks, ice cream parlors, diners and the like for over 30 years. "Two for the Road" chronicles their culinary adventures. This laugh out loud account is more than just the Stern's story, it's a memoir of American roadfood past and present. For more information, visit www.pwpl.info or call 226-4315.
