ISHPEMING — Although some amenities like fencing and signs still need to be added, the portion of the Iron Ore Heritage Trail that runs through the city of Ishpeming is now officially open for business.
The Iron Ore Heritage Recreation Authority held a ribbon cutting for the 2.5 miles of trail that was put in this summer Wednesday afternoon at the Cliffs Shaft Mine Museum.
