MARQUETTE -- In dramatic courtroom testimony Wednesday afternoon, defendant Allison Lenore Coss testified she believed her actions to attempt to sell allegedly compromising photos to her friend John Stamos for $680,000 were morally wrong, but not legally wrong.
Coss, 24, and Scott Edward Sippola, 31, of Marquette pleaded not guilty last month to a three-count federal grand jury indictment.
The government rested its case Wednesday and does not plan to call any rebuttal witnesses. The defense testimony began this afternoon and there is one potential witness remaining to testify Thursday morning. After that, there will be closing attorney statements and jury instructions before deliberations are expected sometime later in the day.
