MARQUETTE -- Four witnesses tesified this afternoon in the John
Stamos extortion case against Marquette residents Scott Edward Sippola, 31, and
Allison Lenore Coss, 24, who pleaded not guilty in May to a three-count federal
grand jury indictment.
After preliminary jury instructions, attorneys made their opening statements to
the jury, outlining the testimony expected to come.
Witnesses testifying today included two special agents with the FBI and two
Marquette City Police officers.
Earlier in the day, a jury of eight men and four women was selected to hear the
case, along with two men and two women serving as alternates.
Actor John Stamos sat in the courtroom throughout the afternoon, listening to
testimony.
